Garhwali Painting

This beautiful style of art once flourished in the area where I am staying. Now, like so many things, it is a tradition slipping into the forgotten past. These paintings were mostly miniature paintings and murals done for the majaraja dynasties of India, who were great patrons and appreciators of art. I am researching how this kind of painting was done and trying to help my friend make a museum of Garhwali Art and Culture. Children and scholars will be able to come here and learn about this sublimely beautiful style of art.
